Owner: Dee Dee Harrell -- "How I Started My Business" When I was very little my parents would go to Flea Markets. They eventually started a business from their home. I remember Queen Ann furniture, beautiful old chandeliers as well as much more old glassware. I loved it! It was always a dream of mine to have an Antique Shop. I put my dream before the Lord in prayer and before I was even aware of it, I was asked to help out another Business Owner in Antiques. Within a month he asked me to take it over, which I did, and built it up. So, I give praise to my God and Lord in everything! This is now our 4th year open and we keep growing! The Trading Post is a family business. Dee Dee is the owner and you will see Jessica (daughter), Susan (sister), and Betty (mom/grandma), running the daily operations when you stop by to visit.

How did you come to work at The Trading Post and what do you enjoy the most about working with your family? Jessica: I had another job lined up and my mother would not let me take it. "She really did make me come to work here!" But I'm glad she did. I really enjoy working at The Trading Post with family. She's a great boss too! The vendors make it great too! Their almost like family too!

How did you come to work at The Trading Post and what do you enjoy the most about working with your family? Susan:"Um, um, um, well...um...they made me...we were all forced...but we put up a good fight...we lost, but we fought hard..." Just kidding! Sis asked me to come to work for her - I said yes - it's awesome---like a family reunion every day! I love it! Best job I ever had ( she made me write that...) ha ha! It's awesome, for real!

How did you come to work at The Trading Post and what do you enjoy the most about working with your family? Betty:"I was forced...ha ha!" I work her because I'm retired and this allows me to "get-out" and socialize with friends and family and I get to meet new, interesting people every day. I love being here, being with my kids and grandkids every day. It's a very pleasant, peaceful atmosphere and the company is great!
